Dedicated to catalyzing the initiation of circular plastic supply chains, this initiative actively collects plastic waste from critical biodiversity hotspots and vulnerable regions. By doing so, it not only aids in environmental rejuvenation but also fosters community development, underscoring its commitment to sustainable change. The project excels in redirecting ocean-bound plastic waste and tackling the pervasive issue of inadequately managed plastic waste from various sources of its generation, including land-based locations, landfills, and communities. Despite being a significant concern often overlooked, the project partner emerges as a catalyst for change, proactively engaging with informal waste collectors and aggregators.

The primary focus is on achieving a substantial reduction in plastic waste through collection and recycling while actively promoting objectives such as employment generation, poverty eradication, gender equality, community education, providing access to Clean Water, and fostering positive partnerships to boost financial resources in Nigeria by exporting recycled materials for enhanced sustainability all aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The project collaborator plays a crucial role in enhancing accountability and authenticity in managing collected and recycled plastic waste, leveraging their dedicated online application for meticulous Data Collection. This application significantly contributes to ensuring accurate and transparent tracking of the entire process, thereby making a substantial impact.

At its essence, the project places a premium on authenticity, measurability, and traceability, aligning with esteemed international standards for plastic waste management.
