Community and Farmer Collection and Recycling of Rigid Plastics in Navdapanth, Madhya Pradesh, India (PPRS)

This collaborative project stands at the forefront of driving a sustainable, circular economy by strategically diverting waste from communities through an ethical and traceable reverse system. Working closely with waste collectors and aggregators, the initiative places a strong emphasis on reducing plastic waste.

Through a systematic approach that involves collection, cleaning, segregation, and innovative transformation of plastic waste into high-quality raw materials and irrigation pipes, the project crafts resources that seamlessly reintegrate into the circular economy. Its impact goes beyond mere waste reduction, actively promoting employment, championing gender equality, and uplifting communities in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Notably, it leads commendable water practices in agriculture through its irrigation pipe distribution initiative, providing farmers with cost-effective irrigation solutions that result in monetary benefits for them. 

The project aspires to transition towards renewable energy, this endeavor will signify our progress towards a closed-loop system, enhancing collection and recycling capacity while delivering transformative social benefits and fostering behavioral change.
